EAST WILLISTON RESIDENT AARON CHOO, VICE PRESIDENT OF DOWNSTATE NY GAS FIELD OPERATIONS AND PROGRAMS AT NATIONAL GRID, JOINS UNITED WAY OF LONG ISLAND’S BOARD OF DIRECTORS

AaronJanuary 11, 2022 (Deer Park, NY) - United Way of Long Island recently elected East Williston resident, Aaron Choo, Vice President of National Grid’s Downstate New York Gas Field Operations and Programs to its Board of Directors. Aaron has held several operational and leadership positions throughout his 20-year tenure at National Grid and its legacy companies.  
 
In Aaron’s current role, he is responsible for the financial, functional, and customer-focused performance of Gas Field Operations, as well as managing relationships with regulators, government officials, and the communities National Grid serves in the New York Metro and Long Island areas.  Aaron is committed to ensuring the delivery of safe, reliable, and resilient gas service to 1.9 million customers in National Grid’s Downstate territory, as well as advancing National Grid’s and New York’s clean energy goals.
 
Aaron acknowledged, “To be elected to the Board of Directors at United Way of Long Island is an exciting opportunity. This organization has been helping families for decades, and I am proud to be a member of this prestigious group of leaders.”

Aaron received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Hofstra University and a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance from Baruch College. He is a licensed Fundamental Engineer in New York State. Aaron was also one of the first Gates Millennium Scholars, which provides good-through-graduation scholarships for 1,000 talented students each year nationwide. He is a member of the American Association of Blacks in Energy and a current board member and Secretary of Empire Clean Cities (ECC).
