Leading accounting and advisory firm Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP (Baker Tilly) is proud to support United Way of Long Island’s Stuff-A-Bus campaign this year.
The Stuff-A-Bus program was developed with a mission to provide children from low-income families with new school supplies to help prepare them for their academic studies. As part of Baker Tilly’s donation, team members also volunteered at United Way’s Deer Park office location on September 1 to fill new backpacks with lunch boxes, notebooks, pencils, crayons and scissors. The supplies will be delivered to schools within seven school districts across Long Island by yellow bus on September 11, 2017.
“With stewardship being a core value at Baker Tilly, we are excited to support United Way of Long Island’s Stuff-A-Bus program and give back to those communities and families in need,” Christine M. Fenske, Baker Tilly’s managing partner of metropolitan New York said.
“United Way is grateful for the support of Baker Tilly; their partnership with the Stuff-A-Bus program will help ensure that students across Long Island have a full desk and the confidence they need to succeed this academic year,” said Theresa A. Regnante, president and CEO of United Way of Long Island.
