Macy’s, Inc., one of the nation’s premier retailers and a long standing partner of United Way of Long Island, recently celebrated the success of their United Way of Long Island Employee Workplace Campaign in support of Long Islanders in need. Macy’s, United Way of Long Island’s largest retail supporter and 3rd largest corporate partner, raised more than $15 million nationally during its “Macy’s United Power of Community” campaign. Locally, the participation of Macy’s associates, coupled with a generous corporate gift, helped Macy’s workplace fundraising campaign reach $247,447 – including $191,107 in employee contributions and special events and a $56,340 corporate gift – to benefit United Way of Long Island and other local nonprofit agencies.
