Changing Times Pubs presented United Way of Long Island with a $4,000 contribution to benefit Mission United, a vital program offered to veterans and their families, as well as active military members and reservists focusing on employment services, education, financial wellbeing, housing and family support.
In support of Mission United, throughout the month of November, Changing Times Pubs in Bay Shore, East Northport and Farmingdale sold Mission United T-Shirts and Wall of Honor postcards that allowed patrons to honor and thank a veteran or active military member. All proceeds from Changing Times' initiatives will benefit programs that support veterans and military families living on Long Island.
Jeff Egan, the son of a veteran and the owner of Changing Times Pubs got involved with Mission United believing that, “The resources that United Way of Long Island offers our veteran community through Mission United are critical. I’m honored to be able to participate in this program and am both humbled by and thankful for the outpouring of support that my patrons had for the initiative.”
