January 11, 2022 (Deer Park, NY) – United Way of Long Island recently elected Traci Shelton, Advocate at Options for Community Living, to its Board of Directors. Traci Shelton currently serves as the Chair of the Nassau-Suffolk HIV Health Services Planning Council and had served as the Vice-Chair of the Planning Council from 2019 to 2021.
Traci is a Care Advocate at Options for Community Living and is committed to goal of advocating for services and improving the quality care for HIV positive people on Long Island until a cure is found. Tracy has served as the Chair of the Clinical Quality Management Committee for the Planning Council, participates in many AIDS Walks on Long Island and in NYC and was the most recently awarded a Community Leader Appreciation Award for World AIDS Day 2020.
Traci is a mother of three, a grandmother of three and has lived in Nassau County for most of her life.
