The Nassau-Suffolk EMA receives funding from the U. S. Public Health Service, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) to implement provisions of the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (Ryan White Part A and Minority AIDS Initiative) and is seeking Letters of Intent to submit proposals. Funding in the amount of up to $5,046,713 may be available for new and/or continuation programs for the priority areas of:
- EARLY INTERVENTIONS SERVICES
- EMERGENCY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
- MEDICAL CASE MANAGEMENT
- MEDICAL NUTRITION THERAPY
- MEDICAL TRANSPORTATION
- MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES
- ORAL HEALTH CARE
- OTHER PROFESSIONAL SERVICES (LEGAL)
- OUTPATIENT AMBULATORY HEALTH SERVICES
Eligibility:
Eligible organizations include not-for-profit 501(c)(3) community based organizations or not-for-profit public agencies with experience in the provision of either medical care and treatment or supportive services to persons living with HIV/AIDS in the Nassau and Suffolk counties. Faith based agencies, minority-operated community-based organizations, and community groups with a focus on racial/ethnic minority populations are strongly encouraged to apply. If applicable, applicants must be licensed to provide the services for which they are requesting funding.
How to Apply:
A Letter of Intent is required in order to apply. The Letter of Intent Form is linked below and must be submitted by November 21, 2022 by 5pm. The Request for Proposal (RFP) and all associated forms are also linked below. Questions regarding the RFP must be submitted in writing to the e-mail listed below by 5:00pm on November 16, 2022. Proposals are due to the United Way of Long Island no later than 5:00 PM on Friday, January 13, 2023. Please note that proposals must be submitted by email. Hand delivered proposals will not be accepted.
