VetsBuild

VetsBuild is a signature program of United Way of Long Island's Mission United that provides job training for Long Island veterans and their families. Many local veterans struggle with underemployment and finding a long-term career path that will lead to financial independence and stability. VetsBuild is designed to help unemployed and underemployed veterans improve their employment prospects and is free of charge to veterans. Upon completion, certifications may be granted, as well as connections to employment or advanced training opportunities.

 

This Program operates out of United Way’s state-of-the-art E3 SmartBuild Training Center in Deer Park and includes: 

• Introduction to Solar, Wind Turbines, and Renewables
• Hands-on training for high-performance and net zero building.
• Building Science Principles Certification 
• Assistance with Job Placement upon course completion.
