2-1-1 Long Island
Visit 2-1-1 Long Island for information on avoiding tax scams, locations of tax assistors and details about materials that need to be present while filing.
Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program
The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program offers free tax help for low- to moderate-income (generally $55,000 and below) individuals and families. Bilingual tax assistors are available.

MyFreeTaxes is a partnership between United Way Worldwide and H&R Block to provide an easy, safe, and free way to file your taxes online. You can file your federal and state returns for free. Click the “File For Free” link and you’ll be taken to the secure H&R Block software that powers MyFreeTaxes, which will also guide you to identify eligible tax credits and deductions.
