Helping Families in Need this Holiday Season
United Way of Long Island’s community partner agencies are seeking donations of goods and volunteer services to help fulfill the needs of Long Islanders at this time of year.
“During the holiday season, we turn to our neighbors to assist families and individuals - especially children and seniors. Encouraging neighbors to participate in donation and volunteer drives is one way we can work together to strengthen our communities,” says Theresa A. Regnante, President and CEO of United Way of Long Island.
Requested items should be new unless an organization indicates “gently used” items, in which case please ensure items are clean and in working order. Volunteer opportunities and agencies that operate Adopt-A-Family programs, which provide additional details on participating families, are also listed.
